Where I Live I live in the wonderful city of Norcross Georgia with my wife Tracy, my daughter Sam, my son Jake, and a whole menagerie. Norcross is about 25 mile North of downtown Atlanta up the I85 corridor. This is an old picture of our house (I'll have a new picture soon). |
| Where I work I am the Cheif Technology Officer of National Electronic Attachment. It's a family business (if you can call dental EDI tranactions a family business). This all started back in the late 80's when my Dad bought a small company called Premier Systems that sold a dental practice management software (basically an accounting software for dental offices). One of the features of the Premier software was the ability to send the dental claims electronically directly to the insurance company (kind of like a credit card transaction going to a bank). In 1990, we started a company called Electronic Claims and Funding (ECF) to handle those transactions. As the concept caught on, ECF started growing at an explosive rate. Soon it was larger than Premier. In 1995, ECF was sold and is now the Dental devision of WebMD. After the merger I left to start my own company called TJSGroup LLC. TJSGroup was an IT co-op where several of us pooled our resources to build a small client base, drink a lot of beer at our board meetings, and be the first house in the area to have a fully networked high speed Internet connection (128K was a big deal back then when everybody else was on 33.6). We were Super Geeks! Then, we got a little older and decided that things like a steady paycheck, health insurance, and paid sick leave/vacation was worth something. About that time, Dad was working on a project to devolop the next stage of the dental EDI revolution, and asked me to partner up with him on the NEA project. To date, even with the current market conditions, NEA is growing steadily and we have a very bright outlook. |
